Supervision and Consultation
I have provided individual and group supervision to many clinical psychology students and consultation to practicing clinicians in various healthcare professions during my career. I am a board-approved supervisor by the Psychology Board of Australia and am particularly interested in working with registered clinicians who wish to improve their knowledge and skills in working with anxious clients. In addition, I provide the following types of supervision:
-Supervision to provisional psychologists completing an accredited higher degree program (clinical psychology)
-Supervision to provisional psychologists working in addition to their higher degree placements
-Principal and secondary supervision to registrars in an approved area of practice endorsement program (clinical psychology)
I have in-depth knowledge of the science and practice of behaviour therapy, CBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as exposure therapy for anxiety in particular. Supervisees can benefit from my personal experience applying this knowledge in the clinic as well as my educational and clinical resources on these topics. I have a track record of training and supervising highly skilled clinicians, including those who have gone on to leadership positions in clinical practice settings. I am keen to work with professional colleagues who seek to improve their knowledge, comfort, and competency in CBT and/or ACT within an evidence-based approach to practice.

Training and Teaching I have provided training workshops for 15 years in the form of classroom instruction, conference presentations and workshops, invited addresses to professional organisations, and speaking tours in Australia, Europe, and the United States. I have taught undergraduate courses in abnormal psychology and clinical psychology and postgraduate courses in cognitive-behavioural therapy and evidence-based practice in psychology. I have trained students in three anxiety clinics as well as community practitioners in generalist settings. I am a frequent presenter of highly acclaimed clinical workshops around the world. I enjoy presenting engaging science-based workshops on the following topics: |

-Nature and exposure-based treatment of anxiety
-Principles and practice of cognitive-behavioural therapy
-Cognitive-behavioural case formulation
-Designing and conducting behavioural experiments
-Evidence-based practice in clinical psychology
-Science and pseudoscience in clinical psychology
-Critical analysis of the biomedical model of psychological problems
